Your key to empowerment

  • The Present Moment

Daily practice is training to become aware of and to temper the “monkey-mind” to learn to focus and come into the present moment. In the present moment we are unhindered by the past and can face the future with clarity and courage. Become familiar with what it means for you to be subject to the “monkey-mind” and you will be on the way to setting it aside, making room for this moment, right now.

  • Meditation is a learned skill

Learned skills require daily practice. Even five minutes a day is enough to create a meaningful practice. It’s about learning how to use your mind to full capacity. It starts with the simplest, smallest commitments. You will expand in your capability to calm your mind and know yourself with less judgment.

  • "I don't have time to sit"

Daily practice can happen even when you’re on the go —take a few moments to stop, take several deep breaths and bring yourself into the present moment before moving on with your day. If you have some time at all, listen to one of my short meditations while you’re walking or waiting in line. Even getting into the “vibe” of a short meditation can establish a good mindset and habit for future connection to mindfulness practice, and may even help you be in the moment — with any amount of time you might have in your day.
